Stephen Dixon (Vice Chairman)
Stephen has been interested in Social Houisng for over 20 years and understands Housing Association finances and the need for good governance and controls. He held a senior position as a Technical/Financial Auditor with an East Midland Association. Stephen was a non Executive Director and founder member of Berneslai homes prior to becoming a Board Member of Sadeh Lok Housing in 2011.
Kairen Shearon (Board Member)
Kairen is currently Lead Officer for Affordable Housing with Wakefield Council. Kairen has a wide range of housing experience including working in sheltered housing schemes, housing need, housing developments and their viabilities, in addition to strategy development. Prior to her career in housing Kairen worked in the catering industry.
Michael Greene (Board Member)
Michael is currently the Assistant Director for Neighbourhood and Customer Services in Redcar and Cleveland where he is responsible for a large number of customer facing services such as libraries, customer services, parks and open spaces, street cleansing and maintenance, refuse, recycling and fleet, community development and community safety. He was previously Head of Service in Kirklees and was responsible for the successful delivery of a number of innovative partnerships including a ground-breaking multi-agency unit to tackle nuisance and anti social behaviour.
Michael believes strongly in public services and their value to the community and has a particular passion for social housing and tackling inequalities. He aims to use his experience of innovative partnership working to help deliver improvements for tenants.
Ruby Bhatti (Board Member)
Ruby is a highly successful Solicitor with over 20 years’ experience in the legal field; a member of the Association of Women Solicitors and the Law Society. She has over 18 years’ experience of various non-executive directorships, including Chair of a BME Housing Association until she had to step down having met the limit allowed for years in that position. Her other Non Executive roles include a social enterprise company, CBC (Carlisle business centre) and its charity arm ACL ltd and Incommunities Ltd.
She is a Local Leader of Governance for City of Bradford Metropolitan Council and Chair of Governors of three local schools as well as sitting on Bradford Council’s Education Appeals Admission Panel. Ruby is also Co-Chair of the Quality and Safety Patients Panel for the Bradford Institute for Health Research and a lay member for governance for the Bradford City NHS – CCG (Clinical Commissioning Governing Body) and sits as an independent panel member of the Mental Health Department, Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, a role which enables patients to have their cases considered independently.
