What is Anti-Social Behaviour?
What is the Anti-Social Behaviour you are suffering from, is it loud music, juvenile nuisance, barking dogs?
The answers to these questions are very important, the more information we have the better we will be able to assist you to resolve the problem. The best and easiest way of recording this information is in the Incident Diary book (click here to download a copy) provided by Sadeh Lok. You can ask the Neighbourhood Officer to send you a paper copy.
At the end of your discussion with your Neighbourhood Officer an Action Plan will be agreed with you. This Action Plan will detail what you should do and what Sadeh Lok will do to try and resolve the problem.
Resolving the Problem
If the problem is an obvious one, we may be able to sort it out easily. For example, if it is a dispute over a fence, we will ask both sides to come to an agreement. We may also refer the case to a Mediation Service. Mediation is an independent and impartial service and is a proven way of resolving neighbour disputes without the need for legal enforcement.
If the problem is of a more serious nature or mediation is not a suitable option, then your Neighbourhood Officer will ask you to keep a log of any further problems you experience in your Incident Diary book. Should you need any assistance to complete them or you would prefer to record the information by another method then please discuss this with your Neighbourhood Officer.
Your Neighbourhood Officer will use the Incident Diary book you have provided, and will gather additional information from other people who may be affected by or who may have witnessed the problem. They will also speak to our Partner Agencies, such as the Police, the Anti Social Behaviour Unit, Youth Offending Team and Social Services. This will ensure that the Neighbourhood Officer has as much information as possible about the problem.
